We're home

A very tired team left Guadalajara this morning ...

and finally arrived home.

Thank you for praying for us. We hope this has blessed you.

Thank you for all who were a part of this mission by praying, giving, helping prepare. God Bless you.

Continue to pray for the changed lives; those in Mexico and those who returned home today.

Mission Accomplished!!

Today we spent a wonderful time worshiping in La Iglesia Biblica Koinonia with Larry, Marbi, Gabi, Lea and all of the congregation in their church! We were so impressed with the incredible warmth we felt from everyone there!

Here Larry and his worship team lead the church in enthusiastic worship! It was unbelievable to watch these new believers singing with their whole hearts!
The team taught the church "God of the City"! I think it will be a favorite in the future!

Maria, Laura, Kechia, Rebecca, Shae-lynn and Kierra gave their testimonies, with Mayra translating.

Sunday School for the children!!!

The team put on a skit to the tune of "Chariots of Fire" to set the tone for Wes' sermon on perseverance and running the race!

Shae-lynn blessed everyone with her beautiful voice once again by singing a song. You could have heard a pin drop!!
Brien doing sound!! A diligent worker even in Mexico!!! Lea at his side doing the power point!
Wes bringing the message with Larry translating!

And so dear friends our time here is truly over! Sigh!

We are happy, tired, blessed, and needing your continued prayers as we re-enter our lives at home! Thank you again for all your love and support!

Last Day at the orpahange...part 2.

It was very, very hard saying goodbye to the boys of the orphanage today! We have come to really love each one of them and will miss them greatly!

Caleb said good-bye to his good friend Chino!
Time to clean up the paint for the last time.
Time to clean up tools and ladders used all week!
And time to load Larry's truck for the last time!

It's hard to believe our time there is over!!! With a sigh we drove away from Casa Hogar knowing that we would miss them but also feeling a sense of joy knowing that we have completed what we set out to do. We have truly seen God's mighty hand at work in a mighty way!

Thank you so much for praying us through!!

Please pray for us tomorrow as we take the service at Larry and Marbi's church!

Last day at the orphanage... part 1

Today we started our day as we have every day; with devotions as a team. Many of our team members have taken a turn leading a devotional that God has laid on their hearts! We have been so blessed by every devotional and have found starting our day focused on God invaluable! It's ALL about Him!!!
Larry led us in a couple of worship songs! It was wonderful!
And so we began our last day at the orphanage with much still to accomplish!
All available hands were put to work finishing painting, putting up the last electrical light fixtures, the last of the plumbing etc. for the shower house... and the list goes on!!

By the end of the day all the upstairs was freshly painted and looking beautiful!!! There were 3 bedrooms, a classroom and the laundry area all in a cheery, clean beige!

Kechia used her artistic gift to paint a mural of David and Goliath on the wall of the largest bedroon!! What an inspiration to the little boys as they remember that with God no Goliath in their lives will conquer them!!!

Are you sitting down?! We have water!!!!!!! With the help of a little pump and the clean cistern we were able to run hoses and pipes to the "tinacos" or water tanks from the cistern to the roof and then down to the showers!! God is good!!! We praise Him for wisdom and creative minds who were able to think outside the box and come up with a solution!!
So we went from an empty space in the corner of the yard to...

...walls
to paint and plumbing...
to a finished shower house with running water!!! There are 6 showers and rough-ins for 5 toilets to be put in, in the near future!
Blanca and Fernando came in to help us celebrate turning on the water for the first time!!!
Fernando couldn't resist jumping in and having a quick shower right there on the spot!! :)
A wet hug for Larry from Fernando!
