Our Day of Rest

Our day of rest... so this blog is going to be short!!  :)

We started it by going downtown Gaudalaja to do a bit of shopping in the local market! Lot's of interesting, colourful things to look at and possibly purchase!

After stopping for lunch to eat the longest burritos we have ever seen in our lives, we headed for Teuchitlan, Guachimontones.

They are the only round pyramids in the world dating back to 1500 BC according to our guide. Sadly, they were used to worship the god of the wind with human sacrifices
Jacob was our resident ant killer...and there were many!

We all found our time there interesting but were suprised that they weren't larger!
Time for a team photo!!
And a  picture with great frineds!

We finished the tour with a hike to the top of the primary, but unexcavated pyramid! Now grateful that they weren't so big!  :)
