Wednesday Part 1

Caleb and Fernando share a moment!
The shower room is coming along!! Wes, Mark, Helberth and Nathaniel started putting up walls today!! It was great seeing such huge steps forward! Please keep praying for water!!!

Mayra ( our tireless children's worker), along with Elise, Kiera, Shae-lynn and Caleb C., took the boys to the park again today for more fun and games!! They were even treated to a "freezy" to help cool off on a very hot and dusty day!
This is Elise' new little buddy! His name is Miguelito and we are all dawn to his huge smile!! We would love to tuck him into our suitcases when we come home!!!

Caleb decided to climb the tree in the park with the boys today!! The all love to climb and put our hearts to the test when we watch them climb higher and higher! So far "please come down" and "not so high" does not bring much results! No one has needed to be rescued yet however, thank goodness!! Neither Mayra or I (Sherry)are volunteering to go up!!! Caleb however may be a good choice! :)
Brien getting a bit of help from Chino, Victor and Milton! He put up many more light fixtures today including Fernando's office. He assured us that there are only 9 more to do!
One of the big projects for today was to clean out the old cistern in the back patio with the hopes that it may be a solution to our problem getting water to the showers!! Larry, the truly brave one in our midst, volunteered to step down into the mucky water to pass buckets of water!
Keichia was his right hand gal up top dumping countless buckets of water and other "yucky" things out!
Caleb, Mayra, Shae-lynn and Elise joined the bucket brigade when they were finished taking the little boys to the park!

While everyone else was woking hard at the orphanage, Marbi, Laura, Shinead and Jacob were working hard at the house preparing a yummy hot dog lunch for the team and the entire orphanage!! A huge task made easier by many diligent hands!
Here the team is serving the hotdog lunch to all the boys in the orphanage! The boys eat their hotdogs with sour cream, mayonaise, cheese, mustard, ketchup and of course... chiles!!!

Mark and Cheryl not on a beach on their March Break!! :)
I thought you might enjoy seeing the bathroom that we are using while at the orphanage! It is tucked under the stairs and is a bit of a squeeze getting into!
But comes complete with a toilet and sink!!
More painting today for Cheryl, Hannah, Chloe, Rebecca and Maria! One bedroom to go and they will be done! Phew!!!
